United Nations Board of Significant Inspiration – Bureau of Silly Ideas

The United Nations Board of Significant Inspiration is a large scale project developed by the Bureau of Silly Ideas in various formats. The project looks to engage members of the public in ridiculous make-believe, around inspiration and the humble marble. Events range from small scale interventions and large scale durational installations which have included Marble Run world record attempts and iterations have been commissioned by Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust and Market Place, Creative People and Places project in Fenland and Forest Heath.

I was the performance director for the event in Stratford in 2016, training a group of students from Coventry University to perform in the installation.

In 2018, I worked alongside Kate Evans to develop engagement activity, to develop the performance structure and content and to train a group of local performers to perform alongside core company members at Wisbech Castle and Newmarket.

It's night time. A man, wearing a shiny blue coat and a fur hat stand in front of a sign that reads UNBOSI United ideas and a symbol of the world with light bulb in the middle of it. He works for UNBOSI and looks proud.
